*Speech & Hearing Testing*
Children's Spot therapists and personnel from The Midwest Ear Institute will be on campus Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26 to test any students whose parents have elected to have them tested. Parents of students in grades one through three should have received a letter and form in the mail that was to be completed and returned to school if you wished to have your child tested. If you would like your fourth or fifth grader tested there are forms located at Mr. Darnell's desk.  Testing is $12 and we asked that the forms were returned by September 18. If you did not return a form but would like to have your child tested please contact your child's teacher and send the $12 fee prior to the testing dates.  Due to their field trip, second grade students will be tested on Wednesday, September 25.  All other Lower School students will be tested on Thursday, September 26.
Pet Blessing
Pet Blessing is Friday, September 27.  Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are invited to bring a live pet to have blessed.  Toddler through pre-kindergarten students are welcome to bring a stuffed animal and all other students are welcome to bring a picture of their pet(s). This special chapel service will take place on the field during normal all school chapel time. Students are asked to report to their classrooms and then they will meet parents and pets on the field.  Please help us keep the field clean for our gym classes and recess by bringing bags and cleaning up after pets.  Thanks for your help and support with this St. Paul's tradition!

In Harmony Choir
Mrs. Everly will once again be overseeing our In Harmony Choir!  She'll be working with any interested first through sixth grade students starting on Monday, September 30 at 7:15 and continuing each Monday school is in session through December 16.  The choir will perform at All School Chapel services as well as Bishop Spencer Place and Crown Center.  To participate in these performances students may not miss more than three rehearsals.  Mrs. Everly will also be working with students after Christmas break for a spring session of In Harmony. Please be sure to complete and return the sign-up form that was emailed earlier in September if your child is interested in this fun opportunity.

New Parent Coffee
Jill McGee, our admissions director, will be hosting a new parent coffee on Tuesday, October 1 at 9 A.M. for all new parents of Lower School students who wish to attend.  We look forward to seeing you there and hearing how things are going so far.  In the mean time, please don't hesitate to let us know if  you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to help with the transition.
Bill Severns
We are very fortunate to have former Major League Baseball player and author, Bill Severns, with us on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 P.M.  Bill is the author of Keepers of the Sandlot and will speak to parents, teachers, and other guests on the topics of coaching and sportsmanship.  We hope you will join us for this opportunity.  Many of our students are involved in multiple sports and we believe Bill's insights will help us as we continue to coach and nurture our student athletes.  If you are interested in reading Bill's book, there are a few copies left that may be checked out from Linda Van Thullenar.

Buddy Run
The Buddy Run will be here soon!  This Friday, September 27 we will have a Buddy Run pep rally at 3 P.M. in the gym for first through eighth grades.  Students will learn all about when the Buddy Run is and how they can help earn money for their school with this healthy and engaging fundraiser.  Please be sure to check out all of the info that was sent home with your child and/or the info that was posted in Liz's Monday Morning Memo on Monday, September 23.  The Buddy Run will be Friday, October 4 at 9 A.M on the field.  All toddler through eight grade students will receive a complimentary Buddy Run t-shirt and all preschool through eighth grade students will participate in the festivities.  Thanks to all of the parents who are organizing and helping conduct this fun event and raise funds for our school.
