Fourth Showcase, Transition Events, & Safe and Healthy Technology Usage Presentation

A huge thank you to the Fund-a-Need chairs and all who helped make the Fund-a-Need possible!

If you have a child in fourth grade be sure to save the date for the ROAD Rally!  The Rally will be Friday, May 9 from 9:30-10:30 in the gym.  ROAD, Reach Out And Dance, is a program geared specifically for fourth graders conducted by the Kansas City Ballet.  Fourth grade students have had the privilege of working with Miss Tess and a professional pianist each Friday this school year.  In addition to challenging students physically, the program also connects the Life Skills and the St. Paul's fourth grade curriculum to the activities done in class.  This has been a special privilege and we hope to be able to secure funding to make it happen again next year.

Feed The Need Is This Friday
Students are invited to bring items for the pantry this Friday as we celebrate Feed the Need Friday.

Mrs. Stacey Rand will be substituting in Mrs. Van Maren / Mrs. Field's class this week.  Stacey was a fifth grade teacher at St. Paul's for three years and since then has subbed for us when she's available.  Mrs. Field and Mrs. Rand have been working closely together this past week in order to make sure all goes well.  Mrs. Field will return on Monday, April 28.

Transition Events
Two transition events are planned for this week.  If you have a student who will be entering first grade in the 2014-2015 school year you are invited to join us for chapel and then drop into the first grade classrooms on Tuesday, April 22nd or Wednesday, April 23rd from 9-10AM. This format will allow parents to see the first grade morning routine first hand. ECC Division Head, Sheila Abio, and Lower School Division Head, Lisa Jones, will be available in the commons to answer any questions.
Though the transition from second to third grade is no longer a divisional transition it is physical transition since students will be moving to the second floor. Third grade teachers invite parents to drop into the classrooms on Wednesday, April 23rd from 9:30-10:30 to see our third graders in action. Though our students and teachers will be hard at work, Lisa Jones will be available in the commons to answer any questions you may have.

We hope you'll  join us for two spectacular Community Learning Events this week!
