Grandparents' Day
This Wednesday, April 30, kindergarten, fourth, and eighth grade students will be welcoming their grandparents and special friends to the St. Paul campus.  The day will involve a special chapel service and will also allow students to share what they are doing in their classroom  with these loved ones.  Grandparents Day wouldn't be complete without a tour through the Annual St. Paul's Art Fair.  We look forward to seeing these special guests this coming Wednesday.  Specific times for each grade level are: 8:25am 10:30am for kindergarten guests and 1:30pm – 3:15pm  for fourth and eighth grade guests.

The St. Paul's Annual Art Fair
You won't want to miss perusing all of the wonderful art work created by our St. Paul's students!  Join us in the gymnasium between 3:30 and 7:30pm. Many thanks to Shirley Laird and Cheryl Crumpecker for the  long hours it takes to make this event happen.

Pillars of St. Paul's Luncheon
The last event for our 50th Anniversary celebration will be here soon and we can't wait to welcome back those individuals who helped build the strong foundation that made our first 50 years possible.  Former rectors, school heads, teachers, board members, and more will be gathering in the North MPR and  cafeteria space at 11:30 on Friday, May 2nd to help celebrate this monumental milestone.  Since food service will be busy helping with this event we are asking all students to bring a lunch from home on Friday, May 2nd.

Second Grade Music Program
Parents and special friends are invited to join the second grade students as they share their love of music and performing with us at 9 AM on Thursday, May 8th.  We can't wait to see what Mrs. Haskamp and the students have in store for us!

Third Grade Showcase
The third grade students will also be sharing their musical talents at 7 PM on Thursday, May 8th.  Mrs. Everly will be leading this enthusiastic group of performers.  Students are asked to report to the ECC commons at 6:40.

1st-4th Book Swap
On Friday, May 2nd first through fourth grade students will have the opportunity to participate in a book swap so students will have some exciting new books for their summer reading.  Students who wish to participate will be asked to bring in gently used books and for each book they bring in they will receive one ticket which can be redeemed for a book at the swap.  Students are welcome and encouraged to bring in a few books.  More information will be provided soon.

Fifth Grade Mercado Day
Fifth grade students are looking forward to sharing their hard work with parents and special friends at 2 PM on Friday, May 9th in the North MPR.  Students have been busy researching their assigned country and organizing the information they've gathered.  They will also be selling (for fake pesos which they've created) small items related to their country at Market Day.

Writers' Fair Celebrating Our Third Through Fifth Grade Authors
These students' work will be on display throughout the week of May 12th.  Parents are invited to join their child before chapel or after school to celebrate their child or children's work.  We also hope to allow students time to appreciate and admire the work of the other students.

Save the Date!
If you have a child in fourth grade be sure to save the date for the ROAD Rally!  The Rally will be Friday, May 9 from 9:30-10:30 in the gym.  ROAD, Reach Out And Dance, is a program geared specifically for fourth graders conducted by the Kansas City Ballet.  Fourth grade students have had the privilege of working with Miss Tess and a professional pianist each Friday this school year.  In addition to challenging students physically, the program also connects the Life Skills and the St. Paul's fourth grade curriculum to the activities done in class.  This has been a special privilege and we hope to be able to secure funding to make it happen again next year.  We are inviting fourth grade parents, grandparents, and special friends as well as the third grade students and parents.  We are also hoping the preschool students can join us to celebrate this special event with their fourth grade buddies.  A more formal invitation will be provided by KC Ballet and should be coming home soon.
