Congrats to Mrs. Van Maren! She and her husband welcomed their little baby girl, Lucille Pearl, to the world this past Thursday. Baby Lucy and mom are doing well! Donna Field will be subbing for Mrs. Van Maren. Mrs. Field began the year with our fourth graders when she was subbing for Mrs. Cowan.

Extreme Spirit Spree
St. Paul's Student Council is sponsoring a school wide Spirit Spree during the last two weeks of February. This is a time when we celebrate our spirit of sportsmanship as we support St. Paul's athletes in basketball tournaments and also our commitment to service in the community as we collect items for the St. Paul's food pantry.

Curriculum Presentation Is Rescheduled For Thursday, February 20 at 4:30
Due to the inclement weather we had to postpone the PLC presentation on our ongoing curriculum work. We have rescheduled this presentation for Thursday, February 20th at 4:30 in the ECC commons. We hope you'll be able to join us to see the wonderful work being done and the exemplary leadership of our teachers and Mrs. Abio as they serve as our PLC or Professional Learning Community. Please RSVP to Linda Van Thullenar if you plan to attend. Childcare is available through Extended Day.
Wine on the Vine
Third through Fifth grade teachers will be hosting their annual auction item for current third grade parents on Tuesday, March 4th from 6-7:30 PM. Join us in the St. Paul's rainforest for hors d'oeuvres and wine. The cost is $25 per person and you can contact Katie Gregg at kgregg@speds.org or at 816.268.6541 to register.
The Second Semester of In Harmony Choir Has Begun
Starting on Monday, February 10th and continuing each Monday school is in session through May 5th, students in grades first through sixth are invited to join Mrs. Everly and Senora Meli in the music room at 7:15 for In Harmony rehearsal. Students will once again perform in all school chapel and will also possibly perform in the community. Students must not miss more than three rehearsals in order to participate in the performances. Please complete and return the permission slip that was sent home in order to register your child. Thanks in advance for helping your child arrive at 7:15 each Monday. We are looking forward to a very successful second semester choir!
